Julie Ricard

Julie is currently a Mozilla Fellow, developing "Eureka", a social-network-learning space that uses books and movies to promote critical thinking, informed awareness-raising, and ultimately generate empathy to increase individual and collective engagement about key social issues. Prior to Mozilla, Julie was Deputy Director at the think and do tank Data-Pop Alliance where she coordinated the organization’s data-for-development research and capacity-building activities in Latin America. She also worked as Evaluation Researcher at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, studying the Venezuelan displacement and migration across South America, and with multiple development actors (such as UN ECLAC, the French Development Agency, UNDP). She holds MAs in International Affairs (Sciences Po Paris) and Gender Studies (Paris University), and a BA in Latin American Studies (Sciences Po Paris).
